Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an effective therapeutic tool in helping reduce the negative impact of trauma that was not fully processed at the time of the traumatic event, causing people to remain living in the past and unable to enjoy the full benefits of their present lives. Using bilateral stimulation, such as hand tapping or eye movements, EMDR activates both sides of your brain to allow your brain to heal itself.
“Trauma is not what happens to you, but what happens inside you.”
